Welcome

We are dedicated to advancing the study of bee diversity through integrative research in systematics, ecology, and evolution. Building on the University of Kansas’s historic legacy in bee research and the world’s largest bee collection, our mission is to document, understand, and safeguard bee biodiversity. We combine traditional and modern approaches to address fundamental questions in biology and to inform conservation strategies. Through global collaborations, training of the next generation of scientists, and open access to data and resources, we seek to expand knowledge of bee diversity and its key role in sustaining ecosystems and human well-being.
